Born in 1963 in Al-Junifi Village, Saudi Arabia, He received a Diploma from Institute of Art Education Riyadh in 1981, He was a founding member of Riyadh Fine Art Group, Saudi Art Association and the Saudi Society for Fine Arts (GSFT).

Al-Najem's held numbers of Solo Exhibitions as well as Participated in many group Exhibitions locally and internationally, He gained several Awards including the first prize at General Exhibition of Artists and Clubs of the Central Region in 1982, First position prize in Saudi Contemporary Art Exhibition in 2012 and many more.
