“Decades” Art exhibition represents a unique selection of 19 pioneering Saudi artists whose work set in motion the contemporary art movement in the Kingdom and greatly contributed to its growth and evolution. Amongst themselves, this group of Artists have a collective experience of over a century.
The artworks depict several perspectives of the country as seen through the artists’ eyes, and tackle a wide range of themes that have shaped the current local artistic scene. The exhibited cross-medium body of work ranges from painting and sketching to textile art and sculpture.
With this exhibition, Mono Gallery proudly celebrates these artists and pays homage to those who could not be with us, but whose legacy lives on through their work of art.
