TAWR group exhibition returns for its second edition featuring more than 50 works by emerging and early-career artists from around the region. The annual exhibition responds to the need of offering a platform to young practitioners, many of whom are directly shaping today’s dynamic artistic landscape. Against the backdrop of the challenging events brought about by the pandemic and its aftermath, Tawr: A Year In Memory seeks to capture the zeitgeist of experiences of an emerging generation of artists and their resilience in navigating between the difficult circumstances and an abundance of creativity. The exhibition offers a collection of new and existing works that include drawings, paintings, sculpture, and photography, with an exploration of various themes such as: collectiveness and loneliness, the spiritual and figurative selves, childhood nostalgia and adult trauma, socio-politics and Identities, urban assemblages and biomorphic forms.
