Reem Al Faisal

Reem Al Faisal explores solitude in modern society and within ourselves through her photography. With a degree in Arabic Literature from King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Reem Left the kingdom to pursue a photographic career in Paris, France where she studied Photography in Spéos International School of Photography in Paris. She is the first woman photographer to document the entire Hajj, and the first from the Gulf region to have exhibited her work in Palestine. Her work has been exhibited in many countries around the world; Art Vision Gallery Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 1994, Mystic Lights, Loccum, Germany 1999, Port of Jeddah, the Arab World Institute Paris, France 1999, Diwan Al-noor, The Sakakini Cultural Center Ram Allah, Palestine 2002, Divine Manifestations, Galerie Agathe Gaillard, Paris, France 2003, Nazar, IFA Gallery, Stuttgart, Germany 2006, Images From The Arab World, National Museum Of Singapore 2007, Together, Jordan National Gallery, Jordan 2008, Howard Greenberg, New York 2014, Chiaroscuro Empty Quarter Gallery Dubai 2016, and many more. Her work is part of the permanent collection of Sakakini Centre in Palestine, The National Museum of Seoul Korea and The National Gallery of Jordan. She is the recipient of the Medal of Legion of Honor.
